Discover Will’s introduction to the Festival and a snippet of his upcoming program here:

1. When and how did you realize that your whole life would be linked to music?

I started playing drums at the age of 9. By 14 years old I knew that I wanted to be a professional musician.

2. Which composer has most influenced your musical imagination?

That’s a hard question. I listen to all kinds of music, but if I stick to classical music, it would be Chopin.

3. What is your main creative motto?

Only play it when you feel it.

4. What would you like to express during your performance at the festival? What will your program consist of and why this choice?

I will perform my own music, from my first album and my (upcoming) second album. There is no better feeling then performing your own music, to get the opportunity to take people into your world.

5. What goals do you set for yourself, what projects do you have on the horizon?

Currently I’m working on my second album, that’s my main goal atm. Besides that, I’m trying to get as much live shows in my agenda.

6. How do you see the future of piano music?

I see a bright future, there will always be piano! With more and more fusion between different styles.

7. What does Paris represent for you, do you have a special relationship with this city and why did you accept the invitation to participate in the festival?

It’s going to be my 3rd playing in Paris, but the first time as a pianist. I have sweet memories in performing in the city and I’m excited to come back, playing my own music now. I accepted the invitation because of the great opportunity playing my own songs in such a beautiful place.
