This is the first track on the album, written fairly early on in the process of composing pieces for it. It is one of my slower and more minimalist pieces to be found on the album, and it is a piece that I always enjoy and find relaxing to play. It was composed shortly after listening to some of Philip Glass’ piano music, so this is a definite influence. I have given it the name ‘Napoli’ as this is the home town of a friend of mine.
